NFCC Girls' Retreat 2016 "We Are Lovely"

What is it?

This is our First Annual Guys Retreat!  This year, our theme is entitled “Man Up”.  This retreat is a weekend geared just for guys in 8th – 12th grade.  Our weekend will be filled with amazing worship, incredible speakers, and a variety of activities!  We are hoping that our students will take the time out of their busy, stressful lives to come and hang out in the woods with their friends for food, fun, and brotherhood.  Some of the things we have planned include:  sports and gaming competitions, glow-in-the-dark capture the flag, team building activities, and much, much more!  During worship we will be bringing you God’s word and will also include break-out sessions that will allow each student to have the full attention of a peer-mentor to discuss topics that they are facing today and have every opportunity to ask questions too!  You don’t want to miss out on a great weekend with JUST the guys!  The cost is only $50 for the whole weekend and this includes food, lodging and all activities!  This is a great time to invite your friends that have never been to camp, never experienced camp-life, or any friend you may have that simply enjoys fun outdoor activities!  Register at and call or text Wade Creggar at 386-405-6107 with any questions you may have!

Speaker: Pete Ramsey

Pete Ramsey has been serving in the Kingdom in Youth and Family Ministry for more than 22 years.  He’s been married for 23 years to his best friend, Heather, who he met right here at NFCSC back in the summer of 1990! He has two amazing kids – 1 loves camp and the other hates it! Pete also spent about 20 weeks of his life at North Florida CC as a camper, teen counselor, teacher, rec director, mail call coordinator, co-dean and dean of several weeks of camp!

Pete is currently the youth pastor and Family Ministry team leader at First Christian Church ministries in Kernersville, NC  (aka KVEGAS!!).  Pete has served previously as youth pastor at Central Christian in Ocala and Englewood Christian in Jacksonville!

Pete is highly qualified as a man as he has never hunted, only shot a gun once, doesn’t really play golf, is a master of the grill and cries every time he watches, “This is Us” on TV.  Some day Pete hopes to watch the College World Series in person in Omaha, Nebraska and also learn how to make a kickin’ jambalaya. He loves to talk baseball, but even more, loves to talk about what it means to be a real man – it ain’t what you think!

Worship Leader: Luke Putting

Luke Putting is from Daytona Beach Florida where he has been serving in worship teams for around 15 years.  Along with serving in worship, Luke has played in a number of different bands in different genres.  Currently he is the music director for Salty Church in Ormond Beach, Florida as well as touring with the band All Things New.  Luke is a die hard fan of the St Louis Cardinals and Orlando Magic and is a part time ninja, but only when he feels like it.
